To all our customers, Welcome!

Australians often reminisce about the good old days of leaving the front door unlocked and wonder what happened. Unfortunately, due to tough times and our inherent incapacity to pass up a bargain, we often overlook the fact that an item is suspect when available at a fraction of its retail price. The few dollars saved purchasing an item off the street has further reaching implications than one may anticipate.
Firstly, 394 374 break and enters and 113 389 stolen motor vehicles were reported nationally in 2002. Consequently hundreds of millions of dollars in insurance claims were made raising insurance premiums beyond the reach of the average income.
Additionally, by purchasing stolen goods, society creates a market for the acquisition of stolen goods. This vicious circle results in over 500 000 citizens losing much of what they have worked hard for over many years.
In short we are happy to buy stolen goods, as long as they’re somebody else’s.
NERDS recognize that stolen goods can be sold to someone who wouldn’t normally condone such actions because the victim is faceless, an apparition never existing for certain. The ostrich syndrome is now a thing of the past.
Throughout our relatively short history, NERDS has experienced overwhelming public support.
The need to protect our homes, our families, and the community from black market trading seems to be a sentiment shared by Australians everywhere.
I would personally like to thank everyone who has expressed their words of encouragement and gratitude. Your Emails and letters are truly appreciated, and make the work we do all the more fulfilling.
With your help, and the help of many other Australians, our homes and places of business are becoming that extra bit safer with each passing week.
Thanks once again and keep safe.
Warmest regards,
Paul Mcewan
